About Me — Sofie Kathe
Hi, I’m Sofie Kathe, an artist from Aarhus.
My work is all about rewinding returning to a time filled with imagination, wonder, and the quiet whimsical magic of childhood. But the worlds I create aren’t purely sweet or innocent they’re shaped by the darker themes of life too.
I’m fascinated by how the mood of a fairy tale can hold both light and shadow, how whimsy can soften difficult emotions, and how nostalgia can cast a new perspective on heavier moments. My art lives right in that intersection where childhood imagination meets the complexity of growing up.
I work with both traditional and digital art forms, often blending techniques to create visuals that feel dreamy, nostalgic, and subtly haunted.
My goal is to make art that feels like stepping into a story you half-remember playful, mysterious, and touched with a bit of darkness that makes the magic feel real.
